ITINERARY

Day 1
Gateway to Adventure - Cerro Castillo Arrival

Arrival & Transfer Land at Balmaceda Airport and begin your Patagonian journey with a scenic 1.5-hour transfer to the magnificent Cerro Castillo region, where towering granite peaks create a dramatic backdrop for your adventure.
Welcome Activities Depending on your arrival time, choose from tailored afternoon activities:

Day 2
Laguna Verde Challenge

Full-Day Trail Adventure Embark on the spectacular Laguna Verde Trail (14.4 km, +1096m ascent). This demanding route rewards you with dramatic views of rugged granite peaks, turquoise lagoons, and the raw beauty of Cerro Castillo National Reserve. Navigate through diverse terrain from dense lenga forests to high alpine meadows, culminating at the stunning emerald waters of Laguna Verde.
Evening: Recovery dinner and rest at Refugio Cerro Castillo.

Day 3
Glacier Encounter & Lodge Transfer

Morning Adventure Transfer to Laguna Glaciar Leones trailhead (3-hour scenic drive) for an extraordinary glacier experience. Hike 10 km of relatively flat terrain through pristine wilderness leading to the mesmerizing Laguna Glaciar Leones.
Glacier Boat Experience Enjoy a 2-hour boat excursion across the glacial lagoon for close encounters with the impressive Leones Glacier, witnessing massive ice formations and listening to the thunderous sounds of calving ice.
Return Trail & Transfer Complete the 10 km return hike (total 20 km, +50m/-116m elevation) before transferring to Mallín Colorado Lodge (30 minutes), your comfortable base for the next three nights with full board dining.

Day 4
Patagonia National Park - Rio Avilés

Morning Transfer & Trail Adventure Journey to Patagonia National Park (1 hour 45 minutes) for the Rio Avilés Trailadventure (16.3 km, +647m elevation). This diverse route showcases Patagonia’s unique ecosystems, from grassland steppes to ancient forests, with excellent opportunities to spot guanacos, foxes, and diverse birdlife including the majestic Andean condor.
Evening: Return to Mallín Colorado Lodge for relaxation and hearty regional cuisine.

Day 5
High Lakes Challenge - Lagunas Altas

Epic Mountain Loop Return to Patagonia National Park for the challenging Lagunas Altas trail (20.6 km, +966m elevation gain). This demanding loop takes you through stunning high-altitude terrain, offering panoramic views of pristine mountain lagoons, dramatic peaks, and the vast Patagonian steppe stretching toward the horizon.
Evening: Celebrate your achievement with traditional Patagonian dinner at Mallín Colorado Lodge.

Day 6
Marble Caves & Coyhaique Transfer

Marble Caves Kayaking Experience Transfer to Puerto Rio Tranquilo (1.5 hours) for the highlight Marble Caves kayaking adventure. Spend 3 hours navigating through the intricate limestone formations of General Carrera Lake, witnessing the famous color-changing light show as sunlight creates mesmerizing reflections ranging from deep navy blue to brilliant pink, white, and cobalt blue.
